Impeachment – A Solution?

Well, Well, Well. Lets just get to the point. I am not supporting the move. Not because I am a fan of Mr. Musharraf, but because I am tired of other power brokers doing the same thing as him and getting away. The present state of politics are in no way different to the times of Mr. Ayub Khan or Mr. Nawaz Sharif (1998). It is like a traditional way of removing some one in command in our country.

I second Mr. Makhdoom Amin Fahim’s stance on this occassion. Despite the fact that he may also be supporting the move of impeachment, however he is more of the idea that the government should not place the matter as a priority or make it a reason for not paying attention to other important matters at hand.

Okay, so consider for a moment that the world saviour (Mr. Musharraf) no longer remains the president, what exactly would happen to the millions who sleep easily because of him. US journalists remark the fact that the only reason why world population sleeps so comfortably in their houses is because they know they have Musharraf fighting against terrorism. Well not a point of discussion at the moment, but still worth mentioning.

So okay Mr. Zardari and Mr. Nawaz throw him off the stage, now what? I don’t get whats wrong with our public? They are clearly aware of the fact that none of the leaders are saints as they pose themselves, and definitely not public leaders. I’ll support that point by the fact that no present public’s leaders and their companions would like to ride in Rolce Royce or Lexus, if they really knew what public is going through these days – Not my point of interest again, their choice and their subjects choice.

So coming on to the main issue of impeachment. I reckon we have clearly not learned from our past mistakes. No country in my opinion should go beyond measure to publicly advocate its opponents mistakes to make themselves strong public figures. We love criticizing others, and if its on media, its even better. The reason why no one trusts our government anymore is because of this very reason. Noone knows who to stand for, who to support, and what to say. I haven’t encountered anyone who I can actually call a ’leader’ of the nation, after Quaid (Not Mr. Altaf Hussain but Jinnah).

Now they are throwing off Mr. Musharraf and soon somebody will be throwing them. Thats how our country works. I just hope we don’t suffer all the aftermath of their stupid civil wars.

Our economy is destabilising, and our governor of state bank ‘Mrs. Shamshad Akhtar’ seem to be more involved in designing currency notes. God give her guidance in this sphere. I just hope we don’t suffer gruesome fates at the hand of our government, or we’ll be seeing another Iraq War here (GOD FORBID).!

As Shehzad Roy remarks – Laga Reh!
